#Superfine touch fly rod full
The thread wraps on the guides are noticeably different lengths from one side of a guide to the other, there are large gaps in the thread wraps where it clearly wasn't wrapped tightly, and the epoxy work is downright sloppy at the grip. The Orvis Superfine Touch is a premium fly rod from Orvis with a soft, full flex action. In comparison with the echo rod, the superfine appears sloppy and put together in a rush. I don't have any complaints about the performance of the superfine glass however the quality of the build is another story. I picked up a 2wt echo glass as well and although it's a lesser weight than the superfine, it appears the echo series would be a deeper flexing rod through the whole series. The superfine is extremely light in hand and works well as a purely dry fly rod as well as a short indicator rod. I find the superfine glass is similar in flex during the cast but it has more feel to it. I have a few redington classic trout rods and my favorite is the 7'6" 2wt. Probably the cheapest quality rod you can buy.
Theyll load with not much more than the leader out. I use fiberglass rods for my brookie fishing, actually all my fishing anymore.
I haven't had a fish on it but suspect it will be a blast. Orvis Superfine Touch is a nice 'softer' graphite but very expensive. I'm new to glass and the rod feels slow and full flexing but some people say it's fast for glass. Roll cast all day long with new age composites built with time tested tapers and actions. This rod is perfect for pocket water where accuracy is paramount, and distance is secondary. I haven't cast it a ton yet but I did enjoy the feel of it so far. Superfine Touch Fly Rods It is one of the smoothest rods for casts between 15 and 40 feet.
